Previously, most in-service image distribution services like stargz, Nydus and CernVM-FS were all FUSE-based, which perform just fine for normal use but still suffer from noticeable overhead that cannot be ignored in densely-deployed scenarios. In this topic, we introduce a new in-kernel Nydus image service solution by using "EROFS over fscache" to get the better performance and stability. It has already been landed in Linux 5.19 kernel.
