I am a born and raised South African with Italian and Portuguese heritage. I grew up in Johannesburg and attended an all boys school which encouraged balance between academics and extramural activities to develop a well rounded character. After matriculation (graduation), I moved to Cape Town to pursue studies in the engineering discipline, specialising in mechatronics at the University of Cape Town. My love for deconstructing problems was nurtured and my critical thinking pushed. I still maintained a healthy lifestyle by continuing to pursue sport, eventually representing South Africa in the u/23 Ultimate Frisbee World Championships in Germany, 2019. I have since graduated with honours from my BSc Eng undergrad and have continued to further my academic career by pursuing a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering focusing on the development of an open source drone tailored for multidisciplinary scientific use.
